Work-related use of information and communication technologies

The age of mobile devices has reached the working world long ago. No other influence has shaped our working habits as much as the use of information and communication technologies. They do not only support persons, processes, and systems, but also affect the working person as well as their working styles. Nowadays, we are always available and have access to our work from anywhere.
With all the advantages information and communication technologies can offer, science also considers their stressful aspects. For example, we already know that people are less able to detach from work and to relax in their freetime, and rather feel permanently stressed. We want to find out which aspects of using these technologies can help us and which ones might even be harming. How can we use information and communication technologies effectively and without negative consequences? What are the long-term effects of supervisor expectations on employees? Which long-terms effect do expectations by supervisors have on employees? To what extend do they influence the life of working people? These are questions we want to answer in order to find clear and practical advice.
